Eendag as ek groot is gaan ek ook so kitaar speel! Jana Klut is op backing vocals.

Nuwe worship hulpbronne website – WINS

As jy ‘n worship liedjieskrywer is, stuur vir ons jou nuwe worship song se mp3 of video na info@wins.co.za toe. Dalk is jou song ons volgende “Wie maak ons stil?” song.

Reaction to “Imagine”

I stand so humbled before God who is clearly busy working on a much bigger scale in our country than just your or my life. And still He has such grace to involve us in His plans. The reaction I’ve received to “Imagine” blows me away and confirms this in such a big way.

After posting the song, more than one friend/ acquaintance has confirmed that they feel a heavy burden to pray for our country. We’ve started a prayer group at my kids’ pre-primary school and every time we meet I feel like God is confirming anew His heart for our area and South Africa as a whole.

An acquaintance of mine from my University congregation sent me an e-mail to say that God has been showing her to pray for spiritual rain for our land. He has given her a verse, Hosea 6:3, that just confirms this more:

The week my single came out, the “Pinkster week” theme of a NG church in Lynwood, Pretoria was “Imagine”. The theme was all about imagining how God can use one small thing we do for big things in His Kingdom and our country.

After a recent youth gathering in Pretoria at the Union buildings, one of the pastors who Continue reading

Liv village – Don’t limit God!

Last week I attended the first ever Worship Central conference in South Africa. It was an amazing experience with worship being led by Tim Hughes  (known for his songs Happy Day, Here I am to worship etc.) and sessions being led by well-known and inspiring worship leaders and songwriters like Loyiso Bala.

However, thinking back it’s not one of the worship sessions that sticks with me, but rather the testimony Tich Smith shared about Liv village. This is a village in Cottonlands, KZN, that currently houses 600 orphans in 96 houses. God gave Tich the vision for the village 12 years ago. After many trials and amazing miracles and even involvement by government, Liv village now brings hope to all these kids who went without food, love and security for so long. There is a school on the property, a church and various projects are run that empower and give work to people from the surrounding rural areas.

My heart just broke for all these kids who have a chance again through God’s grace to have a future and know His love. There are many ways to get involved and support Liv village – go and look on their website www.liv-village.com for more info. You can sponsor a child or get involved as a business.

Perhaps the most amazing thing to me is that this is not the end of the Liv village story. God is still working and there are many more children’s lives to be touched by villages like this one. Here is a quote from their website: “The future plan is to see many villages across our nation, raising future leaders, and turning scars into stars by providing a fresh start in a supportive community.”

Let’s imagine with God a country healed, a country with hope for our children…

English translation:

I started writing the song, “Imagine” as a vision statement for a youth group. But the more I prayed about it, the more I became convinced that the vision God was imparting to me was for our country as a whole. While I prayed, God showed me dark gray rain clouds forming over a parched, cracked desert land. It had deep cracks like clay ground forms when it dries. It was as if God was asking me “Do you see the clouds? Do you see the lightning? Can you see the rainstorm I’m preparing for this desert land?” Continue reading
